The Torregrossa boutique in Palermo, designed by architect Collura, has been home to Mila Schon, Irene Galitzine, Lancetti and Andrè Laug since the early years. In the 70’s, after the renovation of the architect Rodolfo Loffredo, the most innovative fashion trends are represented: Azzedine Alaia, Anne Marie Beretta, Jean Paul Gaultier, Issey Miyake, Claude Montana and Thierry Mugler.
The boutique has been renovated by the architect Piero Pinto, regaining the original volumes of nineteenth-century architecture. In the 80’s from Torregrossa find place the new rising stars of fashion: among others, Gianfranco Ferrè, Romeo Gigli, Yohji Yamamoto, Comme des Garçons.
The shop was enlarged and renewed, again to a design by the architect Piero Pinto, and a large corner was also created entirely dedicated to the Chanel maison, flanked by brands such as Prada, Jil Sander and Dries Van Noten.
The new proposals for 2013 are Fausto Puglisi, Gianluca Capannolo, Stella Jean and Aquilano & Rimondi.
Torregrossa is renewed once again. The renovation of the interiors, again designed by Milanese architect Piero Pinto, is accompanied by the acquisition of one of the most prestigious brands, Christian Dior, to which a large corner is dedicated. The new concept revolutionizes the spaces of the store, giving it a modern and innovative image while respecting the philosophy of the boutique: combining the luxury and elegance of major fashion brands with the search for new talent.
