THE BLUMARINE 2020 SPRING SUMMER FASHION SHOW IS AN ODE TO KINDNESS

There are gratitude and kindness in the air at Blumarine’s fashion show for the SS 20 collection. Eternal and at the same time outdated values in an age of speed, stealthy interactions on social networks and femininity too often exhibited without grasping the beautiful essence of seduction.
With this new collection for summer 2020, Anna Molinari tries in a certain sense to put things in their place. Creating feminine and sensual dresses, that speak to the contemporary woman with the immortal language of a Jane Austen of our times.

The focus is on a concept of delicacy that today seems to belong to the past, but which the designer associated with the figure of Marella Agnelli and her attitude of “divine courtesy and education.” Starting with the hair: loose, free to fall and soft on the back to leave uncovered the face, fresh and bright, sometimes embellished with long pendants of rhinestones — an image of delicacy also taken from the makeup.

The dresses are delicate, both in their composition and in their colors, creating a sophisticated and subtle palette, giving this catwalk an unmistakable style. This without forgetting to wink at streetwear or to play seductively with transparencies, but always with balance, elegance and unmistakable grace.
A grace that becomes gratitude in the end, with a delicate “thank you” that is just for this marvelous.
