Ke Huang, a young oriental man who approaches the fashion world

Hi, tell us about you

My name is Ke Huang, I am an image creator. And i co-founded a concept store called “HITCHHIKER” in Milan.

How did you get in touch with the fashion world? Have you always had a passion for fashion?

I wasn’t getting into the “fashion” world until I consider humans, the self is one of the important themes in our lives and the garments can be used to emphasize whatever i want to convey.

What changes has today’s fashion undergone compared to the past?

I don’t think I’m qualified to give a rigorous answer. But there is one thing I think is much much better than the past that today’s “fashion” is much more comprehensive about different ideas.

What does the word “fashion” remind you of? Don’t think about it too much, you instinctively respond

“Mislead”

What is your creative approach when you think of the fashion world now? What do you want to convey?

I query the word “fashion”. It has been added too many things in but isn’t explained well publicly.

From the creating perspective, diversity makes us whole. But from the business perspective, the only thing i would like to say is “Think again before u open the wallet.”

In what ways do you think fashion can represent different historical periods? What is the relationship between fashion and man?

I don’t want to use it to represent any past, i would like to consider it representing now, like it or not, we are making history right now. Humans, the self is one of the important themes in our lives and the garments can be used to emphasize whatever i want to convey.

The best things are usually created when people follow their vision rather than pursue success or money. What do you think about it?

As I think, most of the time, the best things can be created when the creator carries out their own deepest thoughts, and have enough capability to complete that.

Are there any problems in today’s fashion? Do people wear uncomfortable things just because they are cool?

I think it’s misguiding people who haven’t think through all the progress and the power of discourse is still held by the enormous Business Groups. Yes, i think people do wear uncomfortable things just because they are cool, but as long as they know what they are dealing with, it’s totally fine.
