FORUM RETAIL 2020: intervention of Giacomo Santucci

THE 20TH EDITION OF FORUM RETAIL: SUSTAINABILITY, DIGITAL and SAFETY the FOCUS of the appointment

Forum Retail, the IKN Italy event that attracts the largest Retailer Community in Italy, is preparing to celebrate its twentieth birthday with many new features and increasingly innovative content, starting from the “hybrid” format, to offer participants the opportunity to take part “in presence” or “in virtual mode“. Thanks to this new format, the event further increases its potential, meeting the needs of participants and all those who are interested in attending the new edition.

Forum Retail, which will take place the next 28th and 29th October at Superstudio Più in Milan, is once again distinguished by the offer of the sector: it is, in fact, the only event in the retail world in Italy to have chosen the hybrid format. All this is made possible thanks to the platform selected by IKN Italy, based on AI technology. Moreover, it offers the possibility to match with prospects, even remotely, and to organize meetings, in event or virtual mode. The company, thanks to the experience gained in over 30 years of activity and the strong knowledge of the reference sector, offers an innovative and engaging model of “event making”, without ever giving up networking.

A further novelty is also represented by the focus, which this year will be “Sustainability, Digital and Security”. In fact, the most emblematic cases of sustainability from an ethical and economic, environmental and diwelfare point of view will be presented; there will also be best practices in terms of innovation and business transformation capacity; the speakers will guide us in understanding what are the protocols to be adopted to ensure the physical safety of the person, employee and customer side, following the current emergency.

On the occasion of the appointment, there will be: Retail & Payments, an event within the event entirely dedicated to Digital Payments, Cash Management and Security for E-Commerce and Physical Points of Sale, and “Meet your GURU”, a series of closed number meetings – reserved to Retailers – with Top Speakers to share ideas on specific topics to be put into practice in the daily activities of those present. Forum Retail 2020 sees an increase in the participation of international Speakers with the aim of increasing the global benchmark, of particular relevance in this period.

The last edition of the event recorded important numbers, with almost 3200 participants, of which 1092 Retailere 283 Speakers. 123 Companies sponsored the event and 44 Startups were present. In its 20 years of life, Forum Retail has accompanied Retailers in the path of digital transformation and continues to do so even in this particular historical moment that is changing all paradigms.

IKN Italy has also embarked on a path of knowledge and updating, through free Webinar, aimed at the world of Retail in order to accompany industry managers to the twentieth edition of Forum Retail.

Among the various initiatives scheduled from now to the event, we point out “Free Webinar | Omnichannel strategies for the resumption of Wholesale in the New Normal – The 5 takeaways of LuisaViaRoma to optimize the process of digitization of the wholesale segment”.  The Webinar will take place on October 5 at 5.00 p.m. and will be conducted by Nicola Antonelli, LuisaViaRoma’s Chief Marketing Officer, who will talk about how to integrate content, pricing and technology for the two channels in a coherent way, in order to make targeted investments in digital and win the challenge of omnichannel for the wholesale segment.

The President of Camera Buyer Italia Giancomo Santucci will also participate in the event with the speech “The challenge of Wholesale: the integration of different purchasing methods”, during which he will present the evolutionary scenario of wholesales and the impact of covid on the reference market. He will also provide a value checklist to optimize the digital activities in place by luxury multi-brand stores (80% of the physical boutiques associated with Camera Buyer Italia have an e-commerce site) and will take stock of pre and post Covid trends for the recovery.
