Franz Kraler at the center of stage
Cortina Fashion Week from 4th to 12th December 2021
    Franz Kraler at “center stage”

With the arrival of Cortina Fashion Week, Franz Kraler makes a comeback, placing himself as a true avant-garde reference point for the panorama of Italian fashion and beyond. The Ampezzo event will be the occasion for the famous fashion retail founded by Daniela and Franz Kraler to unveil new projects, in an inseparable combination of tradition and modernity, quality and elegance, art and poetry.

Gucci is pleased to announce the opening of a boutique in the heart of Cortina D’Ampezzo, in Corso Italia 88, in collaboration with the historic retailer Franz Kraler.

Consistent with the elegant and contemporary eclecticism that characterizes the Gucci collections, the boutique is a perfect combination of tradition and modernity. Contrasting elements of merchandising represent different codes of the new design which, when combined, arouse curiosity and interest. From the moment of its opening until mid-January, the boutique will be entirely dedicated to The North Face x Gucci collection. Featuring vibrant colors and prints, innovative fabrics and a unified logo, combining The North Face’s curved graphics with the House’s green and red web ribbon, the second installment of The North Face x Gucci collection celebrates the spirit of adventure in all its forms. For the occasion, the boutique recreates the world arctic which inspired the collection itself. Cold lights are reflected on white and bright surfaces surrounded by silver draped curtains. The space is delimited by rugs that are soft to the touch and sight that recall expanses of fresh and immaculate snow. Mirrored mannequins and display supports whose irregular shapes resemble small icebergs rest on these.

From 4 to 8 December Valentino The Party Collection at Franz Kraler.

Valentino and Franz Kraler join forces, marking the way to begin to fully experience the magic of the holidays. The joyful attitude of The Party Collection explodes in a cheerful and very stylish home party: from the sparkling look to the more urban style-oriented one, rediscovering the desire to wear precious garments, where feathers are combined with lurex, tweed is profiled with silver ribbons and dresses are enriched with fruit-shaped embroidery and sequins. An eclectic but avant-garde mix, which fits perfectly with the world of Franz Kraler, in which tradition coexists with the most sophisticated solutions. An exercise in lightness which – in passing from the virtual to the real – is first of all a celebration of being together. A hymn to sharing, in which every guest will be welcomed from an exclusive setting designed specifically for the occasion, with a selection of cocktails and macarons, to start enjoying the atmosphere of the Christmas holidays.

Franz Kraler triumphs at the UK Fashion Film Festival 2021.
A cinema in the woods in Corso Italia 111.

On November 28th, in Manchester, the awards ceremony was held, which saw the victory of the short film Call to the wild, directed by Arturo Delle Donne and produced by the Kraler family. The fashion film takes us to the borders of the most uncontaminated and wild Italy, in which the four protagonists of different ethnic groups get lost, among wolves and nocturnal animals, to find themselves and be reborn with a new awareness. The cultural identity of the area returns here in all its evocative power, and fashion serves as a pretext for men and women to participate in the enchanted, mysterious and poetic spectacle of the Dolomite landscapes. Call to te wild is a reflection on the symbiotic relationship that is established between nature and man, where clothing becomes the tool for communicating one’s identity. To celebrate this milestone in the best possible way, from 4 to 12 December the Franz Kraler boutique in Corso Italia 111 is transformed into a real cinema in the woods, through the outdoor installation of 1950s armchairs and the screening of the short film in the windows. of the shop. Franz Kraler is therefore confirmed as a visionary and innovative brand, capable of betting on a new way of communicating fashion in a cinematic way to bring it closer to a wider audience.
